We are pleased to announce that two solicitors in the firm’s Private Client department have had success with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualifications. Angela Shaw has completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates and is now a full accredited member (TEP). Charlotte Warren has completed a further STEP Certificate in International Trust Management in addition to already being a fully accredited member (TEP).
STEP is a leading professional body for practitioners advising clients on trusts and estate administration worldwide, promoting the highest professional standards through education and training. Full STEP members, who are known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience. You can read more about STEP here.
To become a full member of STEP, lawyers are required to undertake further qualifications in specialist areas of estate and trust administration, taxes and accounting. Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEPs) are internationally recognised as experts in their field and must adhere to the code of professional conduct that instils trust and confidence for clients.
By obtaining the Certificate in International Trust Management, which focuses on the fundamentals of international trusts in a global and local environment, Charlotte can now give holistic advice to her clients as a ‘trusted advisor’ in this area.
Kalpa Prajapati, Partner and Head of Private Client, said “I am thrilled to see both Angela and Charlotte attain their relevant STEP accreditations. Angela and Charlotte have worked hard to juggle client work and learning and development. I am pleased their hard work has paid off. As a firm, we pride ourselves on continuous professional development and these qualifications demonstrate the expertise within the department. Congratulations, Angela and Charlotte”.
