Grant Saw shortlisted in three categories ahead of the 2022 Modern Law Awards

The 2022 Modern Law Awards take place on Thursday 7 April 2022, and we are thrilled to announce that Grant Saw has been shortlisted in three categories: Managing Partner of the Year, Rising Star of the Year and Best Use of Technology.

Managing Partner of the Year

The Managing Partner category acknowledges an individual who clearly articulates the firm’s purpose and priorities, helped the business to overcome challenges, has driven an inclusive culture, leadership style and coherent strategy, created value by introducing unique innovations and technology, supported staff to drive the firm’s business and shown resourcefulness, tenacity, and operational agility throughout the pandemic.

Upon being shortlisted, Ray Crudgington, Managing Partner at Grant Saw, said “It’s a great honour to be shortlisted for the Managing Partner award. There are lots of law firm partners of medium-sized firms like me who don’t really get any recognition for what we do. Good luck to all my fellow nominees”!

Rising Star of the Year

The Rising Star award highlights the work of a lawyer that demonstrates a high level of involvement in their area of practice and any significant obstacles overcome during the previous 12 months. This category recognises individuals that have made a significant contribution to new initiative creation and innovative measures to drive the firm forward.

Upon being shortlisted, Charlotte Warren, who was also selected as one of the three finalists in the ‘Young Wills and Probate Professional’ category ahead of the 2022 UK Probate Research Awards, said “I am thrilled to be shortlisted in the Rising Star category. The Modern Law Awards recognise lawyers and firms that make a difference and it’s a huge honour to make the shortlist. I am looking forward to the ceremony next month and wish the best of luck to those nominated for an award”.

The Best Use of Technology category recognises firms that have implemented a technology-based tool, technique or system that has created a significant competitive advantage, highlighting collaboration and originality in its conception and delivery. This award celebrates legal practices that have adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic utilising strong teamwork and co-operation internally.

Best Use of Technology

Upon being shortlisted, Jamie Lawrence, Head of IT at Grant Saw, said “I am happy to see us shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Technology’ category ahead of the 2022 Modern Law Awards. Over the past 12 months, we have worked hard to streamline processes and work on cross-collaboration across the firm and when you look at the calibre of shortlisted firms, we are in great company. Congratulations to the fellow finalists and best of luck on 7 April”.
