Tea & Taxes at the Bakehouse

On 22nd October The Bakehouse Theatre at Age Exchange in Blackheath Village was the forum for a very enjoyable, informal and FREE event hosted by William Meakin and Rose Walker, who both work in the Wills and Probate department.

A group of local people attended and were given the opportunity to ask William and Rose questions about such topics as the making of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and the administration of estates. Not, you may think, light topics but all the same those who attended seemed to enjoy the afternoon and found the opportunity helpful and enlightening. The event was rounded off with refreshments including some delicious cakes!

William and Rose enjoyed meeting the lovely people who attended and are looking forward to returning to The Bakehouse for a similar event in the future. Maybe the next time they will invite some of their colleagues from other departments to come with them even though this will mean sharing the cakes!
