Grant Saw were delighted to receive the Dementia Friendly Greenwich accreditation on 24 May.

Dementia Friendly Greenwich is a project run by Greenwich Council, with the aim of making the Borough a supportive, respectful and welcoming place for those living with dementia and their families and carers. Figures suggest that there are over 2,000 people who have been diagnosed with dementia in Greenwich and Grant Saw wanted to become involved in the scheme to show our commitment to the wider community.

To qualify, our Wills and Probate department received tailored training on the different types of dementia and the impact that they can have. The training also covered practical changes that can be made to office environments to ensure they are comfortable for people with dementia.

Our award was presented to Laura Bailey, a solicitor in our Wills and Probate department, at The Woolwich Centre Library as part of the events to mark Dementia Action Week by Councillor Averil Lekau.

We look forward to continuing to work with Dementia Friendly Greenwich and our fellow businesses who have also received the award, in helping to make Greenwich a more inclusive and understanding place to live.
