National Dementia Action Week Event

As a proud partner of Dementia Inclusive Greenwich, Grant Saw Solicitors had the pleasure of attending the National Dementia Action Week Event at the National Maritime museum on 9 May 2019.

Blessing Ikemefuna and Kalpa Prajapati, specialist lawyers in the Will’s and Probate department, were at hand to provide useful information about Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to members of the public about support available to plan effectively for the future.

The event was a great success and included stimulating sensory activities such as knitting and colouring for calmness and not to mention a virtual reality experience room showcasing a walk through dementia, which was experienced by both members of the public and other partners  in attendance.

During the Dementia Inclusive Greenwich award ceremony, which took place in the afternoon, it was a pleasure to witness more businesses within the Greenwich area receive their Dementia Awareness badges and it was especially touching to hear the stories shared by carers who were dealing with family members and loved ones suffering from Dementia.

Grant Saw had spent the previous year ensuring that their Blackheath office was dementia friendly and were especially thankful and proud of the recognition shown during the ceremony, towards the effort and changes implemented

We thank Angelika Welzel-Connolly, Dementia Action Coordinator, for organising the event and for the opportunity to participate and we look forward to more collaborations in the future.
