Grant Saw Virtual Yoga Event Raises £250 for BLG Mind

On Wednesday 1 July, Grant Saw hosted a virtual yoga event, which was expertly delivered by local yoga instructor, Julia Anastasiou.

This was the firm’s first fundraising event with our 2020/2021 charity partner, Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind (BLG Mind) and raised £250 in ticket sales. The yoga class was an hour long session designed for both beginners and those experienced in yoga.

BLG Mind is a local charity who work alongside people with mental health needs and dementia, to improve their quality of life. Their vision is that everyone with mental health problems and dementia gets the support and respect they deserve. This is even more important given the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had not just in the local community but across the globe.

Kalpa Prajapati, Private Client Partner, said “We are delighted to raise £250 from our first fundraising event for BLG Mind. This event was open to Grant Saw colleagues, family, friends and clients and we were thrilled by the levels of enthusiasm to get involved. I’d like to personally thank Julia for hosting the class and to everyone that took part. We have set a fundraising target of £2,500 across the year and we have raised 15% of that so far. We are now looking forward to planning the next fundraising event”.

Lucy Morrell, Fundraising Manager at BLG Mind, said “What a great start to the Charity of the Year fundraising. In the space of an hour, the wonderful Grant Saw staff, friends and family helped their own mental wellbeing with Julia’s yoga and raised £250 to help the mental health of others in the local community. Thank you from BLG Mind. Your donations are helping to change lives”.

Thank you to everyone that took part and of course to Julia for hosting a fantastic yoga session. Stay tuned for further updates on upcoming charity events.
