International Women’s Day takes place on Tuesday 8 March 2022 celebrating the social, economic, political, and cultural advancements of women across the world. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

The first International Women’s Day took place in 1911 and was supported by over one million people. It is now supported globally with the overarching aim of collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world.
