On Sunday 25 June 2023, a team of eleven including eight current employees and two former colleagues took part in Race for Life and have raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK. Bernie Eusebe, Claire Buffrey, Claire Wooldridge, Debbie Plumer, Emily Pearce, Imelda Galvin, Janice Connolly, Jayne Lye, Kelly Talbot, Lisa Warner, and Lucy Winter took part in the 5km course in Blackheath.
The team, known as Andy’s A Team, took part in the challenge in memory of Andy Lye, the late husband of the firm’s Office Manager and longest serving employee, Jayne, while raising funds for the excellent work carried out by Cancer Research UK in their efforts to fund the research into 200 forms of cancer. The very first Race for Life took place in 1994 and more than 10 million people have taken part, helping to raise over £940 million. You can find out more here.
Jayne said “It was great to take part in Race for Life on Sunday. It was a glorious day with a very big crowd, and it was lovely to take on the challenge being supported by my friends and family. Thank you for your support and to everyone that has donated. We initially set out to raise £1,000 so to get double, with more to come, is very pleasing”.
