The Private Client department at Grant Saw are delighted to announce that our Wood Wharf office has been granted ‘Dementia Inclusive’ status by Greenwich Council on 12 February.
We already have this accreditation for our Blackheath office and we are pleased to have been awarded the same now that we are settled into our new premises near Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
Dementia Inclusive Greenwich is a project run by Greenwich Council, with the aim of making the Borough a supportive, respectful and welcoming place for those living with dementia and their families and carers. Figures suggest that there are over 2,000 people who have been diagnosed with dementia in Greenwich and Grant Saw wanted to become involved in the scheme to show our commitment to the wider community.
To qualify, our Private Client department received tailored training on the different types of dementia and the impact that they can have. The training also covered practical changes that can be made to office environments to ensure they are comfortable for people with dementia.
We look forward to continuing to work with Dementia Inclusive Greenwich and our fellow businesses who have also received the award, in helping to make Greenwich a more understanding place to live.
