Ray Crudgington is the Managing Partner of Grant Saw Solicitors LLP, having moved into a non‑practising leadership role after many years as a solicitor specialising in commercial property and company commercial work. Ray qualified as a Solicitor in 1991, training at a major City firm after graduating from Leicester University. He joined Grant Saw in 1997, attracted by the opportunity to help shape a growing, ambitious practice.
Over nearly three decades with the firm, Ray has become deeply involved in its strategic direction and day‑to‑day management. His responsibilities include oversight of Finance, HR, IT, Compliance and Marketing, as well as facilities management. He works closely with the firm’s Partners and Management Team, leading on regulatory compliance, client care, operational resilience and cultural development across the business.
Ray is a member of The Law Society’s Leadership and Management Section and plays a key role in maintaining the firm's Lexcel accreditation and high regulatory standards. He is committed to ensuring that Grant Saw continues to offer excellent client service, modern working environments and a positive culture for colleagues at all levels.
Outside the firm, Ray is actively involved in community and charitable life. He serves as a trustee of the charity Shared Space and is a member of Church from Scratch in Southend-on-Sea. He is also a long‑time season ticket holder at Southend United, a regular runner and enjoys supporting the varied creative and sporting pursuits of his adult children.
