On 25th February 2020, we hosted our first Grant Saw Business Club event, discussing Business Strategies: Succession and Growth.

We were joined by our guest speakers Mike Halls of Beer Mergers Limited, Luke Savvas & Matthew Katz of Buzzacott LLP and Cathal Walsh of Barclays PLC. Our speakers discussed succession planning for business owners including; a look at how businesses are valued and what steps can be taken to maximise that value in preparation for a sale of the business; a discussion on the top 10 financial and tax issues when considering buying or selling a business; and an insight into Barclays’ appetite for lending on company acquisitions in the current market and facilitating members’ buy outs (MBOs).
