Grant Saw Raise over £28,000 for Will Aid Scheme

We are delighted to announce that the Grant Saw Private Client department has raised a staggering £28,113 after taking part in a charity will-writing scheme over the past 15 years.

Grant Saw Solicitors LLP, which takes part in the annual Will Aid campaign, has written more than 300 wills for people in exchange for a voluntary donation since signing up to the scheme.

Kalpa Prajapati, Private Client Partner at Grant Saw, said: “We have really enjoyed taking part in the Will Aid campaign during the last 15 years and we are absolutely delighted to have reached the significant milestone of raising £28,113 since joining the campaign. Will Aid is a superb initiative that targets the many Britons without a Will whilst supporting nine incredible charities”.

Will Aid has raised more than £21,000,000 in donations plus many millions more in pledged legacies, for the nine partner charities since it launched in 1988.

Jon Jacques, Chair of Will Aid, said “We are very grateful to all the solicitors who give their time to write wills and all those that have made a will and given a donation, for their generous support.

The nine partner charities use these donations and legacies left by will makers to transform the lives of people in need, both here in the UK and all around the world”.

Peter de Vena Franks, Campaign Director, said: “Thanks to the commitment of local solicitors that took part in Will Aid 2019, many people both in the UK and abroad will receive life-changing support and local people who used the scheme have gained peace of mind thanks to having a professionally drawn up Will. I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to Grant Saw Solicitors LLP for their incredible efforts”.

Will Aid takes place every November and participating solicitors volunteer their time and expertise and waive their fee for writing a basic will.
