Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a 0–3 year PQE Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join our growing team in Greenwich. The role will primarily involve supporting the Head of Department across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, providing an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience, responsibility, and career development within a supportive environment.

This position would suit a motivated and commercially minded solicitor who is keen to build a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law while working closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of Department on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including:
    • Share and asset purchases and sales
    • Corporate restructuring
    • Shareholders’ agreements
    • Commercial contracts
    • Loan agreements
  • Assisting with due diligence exercises and transaction management (including data room management)
  • Preparing ancillary transaction documents and Companies House filings
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including terms and conditions, consultancy agreements, NDAs, and supply agreements
  • Conducting legal research and providing practical advice to clients
  • Providing Independent Legal Advice on personal guarantee and joint borrower, sole proprietor matters
  • Liaising directly with clients, third parties, and other professional advisers
  • Assisting with departmental administration, precedents, and process improvement
  • Supporting business development initiatives where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 0–3 years’ PQE
  • Experience in corporate and/or commercial law gained in private practice (through training or post-qualified experience)
  • Strong drafting and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience acting for SMEs, owner-managed businesses, or entrepreneurs
  • Exposure to transactional corporate work
  • Interest in developing long-term client relationships
